Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar (Local Sightseeing + Shikara Ride) Upon arrival at Srinagar Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Srinagar. Begin your day with a visit to the Shankaracharya Temple (Shiva Temple), which offers a magnificent panoramic view of Srinagar city and its lakes. Afterward, explore the iconic Mughal Gardens, starting with Nishat Bagh (Abode of Pleasure), built in 1632 AD by Asif Khan, brother-in-law of Emperor Jehangir, and then Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love), located on the banks of Dal Lake with the scenic Zabarwan Mountains as a backdrop. These gardens are situated approximately 12 to 15 kilometers from the city. En route, you will also visit a carpet weaving factory to witness the traditional craftsmanship. After a day of exploration, enjoy a peaceful Shikara ride on Dal Lake before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 2: Excursion to Sonamarg (80 km / approx. 2-hour drive) Embark on a full-day excursion to Sonamarg, also known as the "Meadow of Gold," located about 83 kilometers from Srinagar, a scenic drive of approximately 2.5 hours. Nestled in the Sindh Valley, Sonamarg is surrounded by lush meadows, vibrant flowers, and towering mountains. It also serves as the base for several treks to high-altitude Himalayan lakes. While in Sonamarg, you can enjoy horse riding up to the Thajwas Glacier and try sledge riding on the snow. In the late afternoon, return to Srinagar for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Excursion to Gulmarg (60 km / approx. 2-hour drive) After breakfast, set out for Gulmarg, the "Meadow of Flowers," located 2,730 meters above sea level and about a 1.5-hour drive from Srinagar (60 km). Renowned for having some of the best ski slopes in the world and the highest golf course with 18 holes, Gulmarg offers spectacular views, including the Nanga Parbat on clear days. The scenic drive from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is particularly captivating. You can also take a short trek to Khilanmarg, which takes around 3 hours. Enjoy a Gondola ride (cable car) at your own expense to Khilanmarg for breathtaking views of the Pir Panjal range, or opt for a pony ride. Sledge riding and skating on the snow are other popular activities. After an adventurous day, return to Srinagar for an overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 4: Excursion to Pahalgam (90 km / approx. 2.4-hour drive) After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam, the "Valley of Shepherds," located about 90 kilometers from Srinagar, which takes approximately 2.4 hours. On the way, you'll visit the saffron fields and the ancient Awantipora ruins, which house a 1,100-year-old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, built by King Awantiverma. Enjoy the picturesque countryside, lush rice fields, and scenic drive through pine forests. Upon arrival in Pahalgam, check into your hotel and then explore the region's highlights. Visit Betaab Valley and Chandanwari, and take an optional horse riding trip to the Baisaran Meadows (at your own cost). Enjoy leisurely walks and capture stunning mountain views. If time permits, you can also visit Aru Valley and Chandanwari (at your own expense). Return to Srinagar for an overnight stay in a houseboat.
Day 5: Departure from Srinagar After breakfast, visit the Shankaracharya Temple, Lal Chowk, and the local market for some last-minute exploration and shopping. Later, transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward flight. Depart with a heart full of cherished memories and unforgettable experiences from your journey.
