Day 1 - Arrival in Leh Upon arrival at Leh Airport (elevation: 3,505 meters / 11,567 feet), you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. The first half of the day is reserved for complete rest to acclimatize to the high altitude. After lunch, if you feel up to it, visit the iconic Shanti Stupa, a Japanese pagoda built for world peace and inaugurated by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 1985. Enjoy a stunning sunset from the stupa before returning to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Leh.
Day 2: Leh Visit the Hall of Fame, Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, and Sangam River locally. Following breakfast, travel to the Indus and Zanskar River Sangam. Along the way, stop at the Pathar Sahib Gurdwara, Magnetic Hill (where cars defy gravity), and the Leh Hall of Fame (which houses a museum showcasing artifacts related to the Kargil War). Spend the night at the hotel.
Day 3 - Leh to Nubra Valley After an early breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft), the highest motorable road in the world and the gateway to the Siachen Glacier. The views from the top are simply breathtaking. Continue your journey to Deskit Monastery, located 118 km from Leh, founded by Lama Sherab Zangpo in 1420 A.D. After checking in at your camp or hotel, visit the nearby Hundar village (7 km from Deskit) for an unforgettable Double-Humped Bactrian Camel Safari amidst the sand dunes. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your camp or hotel in Nubra.
Day 4: Nubra - Turtuk visit - After breakfast, head to the Turtuk day excursion. Previously under Indian rule until the 1971 Indo-Pak war, Turkuk offers a very different landscape and cultural perspective than the rest of the Nubra Valley. The village is lined with apricot trees, and the views stretch closer to the Karakorum Range. Spend the night at Huder Camps.
Day 5 - Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shyok After breakfast at the hotel, we set out for our next destination, Pangong Lake, via the scenic Shyok route, passing through Tangtse and Spangmik. This route is a shortcut but offers a stunningly beautiful drive. The road follows the Shyok River, climbing up the mountains before descending into the picturesque Shayok village, surrounded by barren yet captivating landscapes. In the afternoon, we arrive at the breathtaking Pangong Lake, where you can spend the day soaking in its serene beauty. Overnight stay at a camp near Pangong Lake.
Day 6: Thiksey monastery-Rancho school on the way back from Pangong Lake to Leh Drive to Leh after breakfast. En route, you'll pass the Changla Pass (elevation 5,360 or 17,590 feet) and stop at the Thiksey Monastery, perched atop a hill with commanding views of the Indus Valley. Following that, we continue to drive past the Buddha stupas in order to visit Shey Palace, the campus of 3idiot Scholl, and finally, Sindhu Darshan and Leh.Spend the night in a hotel in Leh.
